Contract Position
The Manufacturing Supervisor is the point person for Operations. To be successful in this position a candidate must have a balance of technical and personnel skill sets. Responsible for the daily operations on assigned shift/department including setting work assignments for employees, arranging for overtime, analyzing equipment problems and issuing the appropriate work orders, completing administrative tasks and communicating key metrics and company initiatives to the employees. The manufacturing supervisor will strive to provide a safe environment, free from harassment, for all employees.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
*Interacts with engineering and explain the problems in a technical manner.
*Communicates effectively up and down the chain of command.
*Relates Pretest objectives to the employees.
*Corrects product tracking problems, inventory errors and flow problems.
*Enforces the labor agreement work rules and policies regarding discipline.
*Understands technical issues and be able to explain why things are done in basic terms.
*Possesses ability to present at or run a meeting.
Qualifications/Requirements:
*Good communication skills.
*Basic computer skills (spreadsheets, word-processing, Access).
*Good PROMIS skills (runs idle lot reports and understands inventory reconciliation).
*Understanding of statistical tools to recognize trends.
*Ability to identify and train lead operator on repetitive tasks.
*Capability to interpret production schedules for accuracy.
*Capacity to work well in team environment and lead area activities or project teams.
*High school diploma minimum with 5 years operational experience.
